Cheap but nice clothes for occasions

The expensive version was £123 so I have done well. The shoes may be a bit overpriced but are good comfort. The watch is expensive because of the brand. The dress is the biggest bargain for £5! The earrings look elegant for £6. Overall this is another successful bargain hunt.

Recycling Clothes

People throw away clothes when they are perfectly fine especially expensive ones. Here are a few ideas on how to re-use some clothing items and accessories.

Number One
 If you have a pair of Vans and they are white they will get dirty. So will you throw them away? Yes.But instead of throwing them away make them look better because Vans are expensive. I brought studs and made a design on my shoes so that they looked cool.



Here are two of my Vans designs.



Number two
If you have a pair of jeans that are loose but fit right at the waist then instead of throwing them away cut them with scissors so they look like ripped High Denim Shorts. Use chalk to mark your cuttings. You can also turn a bit of the bottom inwards so they look better.

 You can make them look ripped from the bottom

 These have been folded in and had a belt used to make it look nice but simple.

SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!

IT'S SNOWING. OMG.

I am so excited. I'm not sure where you all live but in England especially London, Birmingham and Derby it is snowing cats and dogs! I was at a cousins house when it started. I went home 3 hours later and I drove so slow. I have never driven that slow in my life! Where I live, the roads are ardly used so the snow keeps piling up. I have no idea why I am so excited about snow! We haven't had snow for 2 years. And once we had snow in March! Crazy. Is that the month for snow?

Do you have snow where you are living now? How bad are the conditions if you do?

Resturants

What do you think of restaurants? I think some are over priced like Anoki. Anoki is a indian/pakastani restaurant. It has okay food but high prices same with Jimmys. Jimmys has alright food just overly priced. Slice Of India is the best restaurant to me because the food is amazing and equally priced. It is a buffet, which I normally hate but this is amaZayn.

Lovely Lunch Recipies

All these recipes are home-made. Some dishes could be eaten in summer but you could have them in winter.

In every blog there will be only one recipe so look out for further coming blogs.


1st Steamed Thai Chicken Noodle Salad



A deliciously light and zingy salad. Thai basil 

has a more intense, citrus flavour, but you 

can use ordinary European basil in a pinch.

It takes 1-2 hours to prepare and 30 min-1 

hour to cook.

Ingredients

For the chicken

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
• 10cm/4in piece fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
• 3 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp tamarind
• 1 lime, juice only
• 2 tbsp basil leaves, picked

For the dressing

• 1½ limes, juice only
• 2 tbsp palm sugar
• 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• 1 tbsp ginger, finely grated
• 3 tbsp fish sauce
• 3 red chillies, seeds removed, finely chopped

For the salad

• 250g/9oz fine rice noodles
• 4 spring onions, finely sliced
• 2 carrots, peeled and julienned [optional]
• 2 tbsp chopped basil leaves
• 2 tbsp chopped mint leaves
• 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
• 6 tbsp roasted peanuts

Preparation method

1. Place the chicken into a bowl. Place the rest of the ingredients for the chicken into a pestle and mortar or food processor and blend to a fine purée. Pour over the chicken and mix well to coat then set aside in the fridge for at least one hour.
2. Place a large steamer over a large pan of water, place one layer of chicken pieces into the steamer, cover and steam for 5-6 minutes until just cooked through.
3. Remove the chicken from the steamer, set aside then repeat with the remaining chicken pieces.
4. For the dressing, place all the ingredients into a pestle and mortar or food processor and blend until well combined. Set aside.
5. For the salad, pour boiling water over the noodles and leave to soak for five minutes. Drain, then toss the noodles with two-thirds of the dressing and leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes.
6. Add the remaining salad ingredients and mix well to combine.
7. To serve, add the chicken to the salad and toss well to combine. Finish with a drizzle of the remaining dressing.

That was the salad recipe. You might think it

is long, it is long but it is totally worth the time!
